A. Driveway design shall include proper provisions for storm drainage along the full length of the driveway and where it crosses existing roadside ditches or drainage structures.

B. Wherever possible, driveway drainage shall be directed into natural drainage channels. Driveway drainage may be connected with existing drainage facilities within the township roadway, provided that said connection does not interfere with or overload existing facilities or cause erosion or sedimentation in the drainage system. Driveway drainage shall not be discharged onto adjoining properties causing erosion, sedimentation or flooding and shall not discharge onto the paved or traveled portion of any township roadway.

C. Storm drainage shall not be diverted from its existing drainage patterns.

D. No driveway shall be constructed which will block or interfere with storm drainage in gutters or swales along the existing pavement or traveled way.

E. The construction of a properly sized dish-type gutter will be permitted along the existing edge of pavement or traveled way provided that the flow of storm water is not blocked or impeded in any way.

F. Where a dish-type gutter cannot be used, the installation of a properly designed culvert shall be required. The design of the culvert and the culvert material shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 245, Subdivision and Site Plan Review, of the Pohatcong Township Code.
